FORGOTTEN HISTORY

Inspired by the fashion of Magnolia Pearl, I created this dress completely out of recycled materials, including old lace tablecloths and curtains, cork and cardboard. The curtains used were presumably hung in homes for several years and held many stories behind them, but were discarded and forgotten about the moment they were no longer needed. This dress aims to take the forgotten pieces and make them into something new and beautiful; to continue their stories...

My design has been selected as one of the top 10 finalists from the United States. I feel extremely honored and excited to display my creation once again as I walk the runway at the World Final competition in Dublin, Ireland in March 2025, along with other semi-finalists from the US, Dublin, Paris, London and Abu Dhabi.
